There is an online article entitled Garage Floor Coating.com founder warns that one-day-coating-systems are a “recipe for disaster”.
The author talks about one day floors somehow being too good to be true. It must be understood that the author sells franchises in which the older technology of epoxies and urethanes is part of the basic package. So he has an obvious bias.
It is interesting that towards the end of the article he admits to using one day floor technology when necessary. I’m wondering in what situations would a faster return to service not be a desirable thing for the customer. When would it not save the contractor money by completing a job using One Day Floors instead of making several trips? When would it not make sense to use a product that is not sensitive to temperature and humidity and UV? When would it not make sense to use a product that is more abrasion resistant with better adhesion and more resistance to substrate moisture than epoxies?
One Day Floors is not about selling franchises. We do not ask our contractors to buy a territory. We do not ask them to pay us several thousands of dollars to get marketing or tech support. We do not ask them to buy pallets of materials. We do not include cabinets in their required monthly quota although we do have great cabinets available with patented features that make them the fastest installing cabinets in the business. Quite a combination – the fastest floors and the fastest cabinets!
Our business approach with One Day Floors is to offer the best performing and the most profitable floor coating system. PERIOD. This is backed up with the highest quality products; the most experienced tech support, the most comprehensive product line along with professionally written AIA specifications; and the most thoughtful ongoing training program to keep ODF installers at the forefront of the coatings industry.
When someone talks down about another product, consider their interest. What is their motive? It is clear that some people make derogatory comments in an effort to advance their commercial interests without
regard for the contractor or project owner. In this case the author is using scare tactics to stave off theinevitable which is that polyaspartic technology is steadily taking more of the coatings market simplybecause it provides better solutions and is DURABLE. This is not simply my opinion. This is being provenevery day all across the country on garage floors, commercial kitchens, showrooms and industrial floors.
