Larkburger (970-926-9336) located in Edwards Colorado is the premiere burger joint in all of Vail Valley. According to online reviews their Coleman Beef Burgers have developed a national following.
The only problem until recently was Larkburgers floor. The 2 part gray epoxy coating didn’t cut it. As we all know, epoxies, especially ones on floors that are not properly prepped have the propensity to delaminate and fail fairly quickly. This is frequently due to the alkalinity in concrete that break down the properties of coatings causing them to fail. Though not the case with high quality “Pure Bred” Polyaspatics.
Steve Conklin owner of Garage Dekor provided a One Day Floor solution. After Larkburger closed in the evening the Garage Dekor coating technicians cleared the floor of tables and chairs the started grinding off the old coatings. The floor area was only 650 square feet so this process went quickly, only a few hours.
Once the coatings were removed and the concrete was ground flat and free of bond breaking contaminents Steve Conklin and his team started application of the One Day Floors polyaspartic coatings. They broadcast olive and khaki colored decorative chips intothe floor. Three coats of the OneDay Floors “Pure Bred” Polyaspartic were applied. Due to the rapid cure the floor was ready for use the next morning at 10:00 a.m.
Since then the floor has served Larkburger well. According to General Manager Tony Friel, ” we love the floor. It hasn’t shown any sign of wear, it makes it easy to clean the grease off the floor and is non slip. It’s clean and mold free.”
